In order to prove that BD=CE,we will prove that

Delta BEC cong Delta CDB.

In these two triangles,we have

<B=<C

AB=AC

and ,<2=<3                                            [because AB=AC Rightarrow <B=<C Rightarrow 2<2=2<3 Rightarrow<2=<3]

So,by ASA congruence criterion,we have

Delta BEC cong Delta CDB Rightarrow EC=BD
